The labyrinth is an ancient symbol that crosses all cultures and religions. It symbolizes a journey. Unlike a maze, it has only one path into the center and out again. This frees the mind for contemplation.
Just as in life there is much variety, there is no “right way” to experience a labyrinth. You may reflect on a question or prayer, or simply remain open to thoughts, emotions, and sensations. Perhaps you will shift from an attitude of “doing” to an intention of “letting go”.
